Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our plants and services

What types of plants do you offer?

Sparkradiant specializes in premium indoor plants suitable for various living environments. Our collection includes tropical foliage plants like Monstera and Fiddle Leaf Fig, low-maintenance varieties such as Snake Plants, and seasonal selections. Each plant is chosen for its adaptability to indoor conditions and visual appeal.

How do I know which plant is right for my space?

Consider your available light conditions, humidity levels, and maintenance commitment. Snake Plants tolerate low light and irregular watering, making them perfect for beginners or busy individuals. Monstera and Fiddle Leaf Fig require brighter conditions and consistent care. Contact our team for personalized recommendations based on your specific environment.

What is your shipping policy?

We ship across the United States using specialized carriers experienced in handling live plants. Orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Plants are carefully packaged with protective wrapping and secured containers to prevent damage during transit. Tracking information is emailed once your order ships. Shipping times vary by location but typically range from 3-7 business days.

What if my plant arrives damaged?

We take great care in packaging, but occasionally issues occur during shipping. If your plant arrives damaged or unhealthy, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We will arrange a replacement or full refund promptly. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we stand behind the quality of every plant we send.

Every order includes detailed care instructions specific to your plant variety. These guides cover watering schedules, light requirements, humidity preferences, fertilizing recommendations, and common issues to watch for. Our team is also available via phone and email to answer questions as your plant settles into its new home.

Can I pick up my order locally?

Yes, local pickup is available at our Chicago location at 1711 S Halsted St. When placing your order, select the local pickup option and we will notify you when your plants are ready for collection. This option allows you to inspect your plants before taking them home and saves on shipping costs.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and secure online payment methods. All transactions are processed through encrypted secure channels to protect your financial information. Payment is required at the time of order placement.

How often should I water my indoor plants?

Watering frequency depends on the plant variety, pot size, and environmental conditions. Most tropical plants prefer soil that stays slightly moist but not waterlogged. Check the top inch of soil before watering. If it feels dry, water thoroughly until water drains from the bottom. Snake Plants and succulents need less frequent watering, typically every 2-3 weeks. Overwatering causes more problems than underwatering, so when in doubt, wait an extra day.

Essential Plant Care Tips

Light

Position plants according to their light needs. Bright indirect light suits most varieties. Avoid placing plants in direct afternoon sun.

Temperature

Most indoor plants thrive in temperatures between 65-75°F. Keep plants away from heating vents, air conditioners, and drafty windows.

Humidity

Tropical plants appreciate humidity levels around 40-60%. Increase humidity with pebble trays, humidifiers, or grouping plants together.

Fertilizing

Feed plants during the growing season from spring through early fall. Use balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength monthly.

Common Plant Issues

Yellow Leaves

Often caused by overwatering or poor drainage. Allow soil to dry between waterings and ensure pots have drainage holes.

Brown Leaf Tips

Typically indicates low humidity or fluoride in tap water. Increase humidity and consider using filtered water for sensitive plants.

Drooping Leaves

Can signal underwatering or root issues. Check soil moisture and adjust watering schedule accordingly.

Slow Growth

May indicate insufficient light or nutrients. Move plant to brighter location and resume regular fertilizing during growing season.
